This 1 day workshop will introduce participants to the basic forms and proportions of classical Roman Capitals then will move on to producing letters with a variety of weights, forms and pen angles, looking at interlinear spacing and creating pattern and texture. Participants will experiment with ways in which various writing tools affect both the structure and appearance of the letters.
Tutor Background
Susan Moor is a popular freelance calligrapher, illustrator and book artist working and living in North East England. She has many years experience of delivering a wide range of workshops to calligraphy groups and individuals in the UK. In addition to the latter Susan also undertakes private commissions and personal projects and is also Chairperson of the Northumbrian Scribes.
